Looking at my older stuff yesterday naturally led me to look at my old OLD stuff today and thus, I present you with my ultimate work...my first comic. Gaze upon its beauty!








I'm not even sure if I remember much about the plot other than the girl's (Akikaze LOL) love interest had a retarded name and was totally borne from my obsession with Rurouni Kenshin and samurai and shit at the time. His name was also exceedingly stupid (Aisoku). And he had a wolf tail, wolf ears and a star on his forehead (which also had two or three slash scars on it too). Akikaze was transported to Aisoku's world to save it or something. And Aisoku had an older brother with ice wings who tried to kill him for some reason (I swear to GOD I hadn't watched/read Inu Yasha yet--this was in 2000. Yeah, I'm surprised too).

Clearly this was the most original and groundbreaking idea ever conceived.

I loooooovvvveeee old cliche'd shoujo comics from when my friends were kids, it makes me so nostalgic for when I wrote cliche'd shoujo comics from when I was a kid XD I wish I had actually done pages more because I'd love to share my BRILLIANT ideas that were all totally original and not at all in any way influenced by what I was obsessed with at the time.

How old were you when you made this? Ummmm I'm going to guess middle school? Fifth grade was the year for me >D (Although my dumbass style never went through this SPECIFIC phase--at that time I was more obsessed with zomg Elfwood.)

I was um...12? I think? I'm pretty sure it was 7th grade that I did this, though I had been drawing all sorts of stuff since like 3rd grade XD

Oh god Elfwood...I had/have an account there, but I never really got into it. It was all about VCL, which was a furry archive that my friends and I posted anthropomorthic pokemon to. LOL. Wow.

YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING....

You didn't write a FFVII/Inuyasha/DBZ/everything crossover comic that went on for 500 pages...If I posted that on the internet the internet would explode. (I kinda wanna post the first pages tho bc then I can prove to you it indeed exists ^^;)

What I find absolutely amazing is how the way you draw now is sooooooo different from this! It's crazy! If I look at the cabinet I have of my freshman year manga some of the drawings I can connect to the way I draw now too. But I can't see any similarity to your style and it scares me. Except the coma-wari. You liked spaciousness from the beginning I see :D

See, with you I actually think it's admirable because you actually stuck with it (for like 500 pages no less!). I gave this up after 5 pages lol. I don't think I actually returned to doing comics until 9th grade actually...

And I think the reason it looks different from the stuff I do is because my artistic influences were more varied at the time? All I know is that this predates my OMG CLAMP period, which is probably when my stuff started looking more like how it does now.
